32″ Day of the Dead Catrina Figure

mexican religious

Hand Made from paper mache and painted by hand, this Day of the Dead Catrina is almost 3 feet tall! The Catrina, an upperclass lady of the turn-of-the-century usually depicted in her broad-brimmed hat, has become a classic in Mexican folk art. The images of the skeletons can be found in everything from fine ceramic and artistic paper mache figures, to inexpensive papel picados, paintings and plaster miniatures.
