This Day of the Dead Catrin is almost 4 feet tall! The Catrina, an upperclass lady of the turn-of-the-century usually depicted in her broad-brimmed hat, has become a classic in Mexican folk art. Not to be out done, the men have the Catrin in a suit shown here. The images of the skeletons can be found in everything from fine ceramic and artistic paper mache figures, to inexpensive papel picados, paintings and plaster miniatures. A very colorful way to celebrate Dia de los Muertos!
